Small groups of 6-8 people to ensure individual attention. Barn Studios is set in lovely rural surroundings yet easily accessible to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Ledbury. Close to motorway networks. Ample parking.

All you need to bring is ideas and enthusiasm – and maybe a sketchbook or photos/reference material. All basic printmaking equipment will be provided. Lead by a qualified teacher and practising artist Issi Lammas.

The 10-week course will cover creating subtractive and additive monotypes, drypoint on plastic, and combining chine collee. The safe use of an etching press. Inking and wiping techniques and collagraph plate making and printing.

Techniques including monotype printing: 

• drypoint
• collagraphs
• chine-collee

You will use everyday or recycled materials and less toxic inks to create beautiful images printed using an etching press.
